Mood Disorders

The mission of the Mood Disorders Centre is to improve the lives of people with mood disorders through exemplary clinical care, education, and research. 

The activities of the Mood Disorders Centre include developing, evaluating, and providing innovative programs of care; educating health professionals and the public; and conducting clinical studies on the causes of, and treatments for, mood disorders.

Research

Together with the UBC Department of Psychiatry, the UBC Mood Disorders Centre, and the UBC Mental Health Institute, the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health is at the forefront of research into the biological mechanisms that underlie mental health and illness.
